Also for 2018 the Center organizes one or more discussion panels of papers by young scholars in the context of èStoria, International Festival of History that takes place in Gorizia from May 17 to 20 on the general theme “MIGRATIONS”
Those interested in participating are invited to send an abstract of the proposed paper or the proposal of a panel, consisting of two or three coordinated presentations to the address centrostudicultgiov@gmail.com by January 30, 2018.
Proposal of an individual presentation: Please send your abstract of no more than 750 characters and a brief CV
Proposal for a panel: The coordinator promoting the panel should send a presentation of the proposed topic (1000/1500 characters), the title of all the papers and a CV of all participants in the panel.
MIGRATIONS” is a crucial theme of our everyday life, the origin of numerous questions, capable of strongly evoking feelings, which is necessary to relate with the rigor of historical research and the capacity to inform about the pastivulgativa di informare sul passato..
The historiographical apporach can be confronted with different disciplinary elaborations, with relation with following macro-areas
• The “long duration”. Chronological path dedicated to some fundamental stages from prehistory to the twentieth century;
• Interpreting the present. Migratory phenomenon and current events;
• Narratives. The story of stories, protagonists, testimonies and events.
